SOLID WASTE SERVICE DELIVERY Change Implementation Update

CHANGES Every home can have curbside recycling pickup. Every home will have weekly bagged yard waste pick up. Beautification efforts (recycling, lard yard waste, illegal dumps, neighborhood cleanups) managed by Solid Waste Department. All residential garbage & bagged yard waste collection managed ADS. All residents will have same $20 per month rate for increased services.

COMMUNICATION New website launching this week. Press releases distributed to media and public. Pickup day change stickers. Can placement directional stickers. Social media push of changes and media coverage. Information distributed through our partners communication channels. Weekly media coverage. Community organization presentations. MaconBibbTV ‘How-to’ video being produced.

HOW TO ACCESS SERVICES, REPORT AN ISSUE To request new garbage or recycling cans, use SeeClickFix or call 478-751-7400. To report an issue with pickup, call 478-751-7400. Additional crews will be available first few weeks to make sure pickup occurs and any unforeseen issues are managed.
