3 TEAM 1: EQUIPMENT & HARDWARE Deliverable: Draft list of approved meters to PUCT by April 25, 2003 Team Progress to Date: Developed list of “standard advanced” meters by TDSP territory TDSPs provide impacts to offer additional meters Definition of meter does not include associated hardware TDSP replacement meter—not necessarily like-for-like Team “To Do” List: Define standards for meter approval Develop communication standards Develop process for new meter adoption Recommend accuracy, security, programming, & removal standards Develop process for implementing unique meter identifiers

4 TEAM 2: BUSINESS PROCESSES Deliverable: Create timeline for competitive meter ownership by March 28, 2003 Team Progress to Date: Developed a list of scenarios and business process flows Created a draft timeline Switches & MIMO requests separate from meter ownership Team “To Do” List: Define ownership requirements Develop dispute resolution process Identify potential customer protection gaps Define minimum data requirements & needed protocol revisions Identify potential issues Identify registration, certification & testing efforts

5 TEAM 3: OTHER COMPETITIVE METERING SERVICES Deliverable: Recommend high level market structure & timeline by May 30, 2003 Team Progress to Date: Created & reviewed several potential market models Began to define possible service provider roles Team “To Do” List: Review of ownership in relation to the other competitive services Identify & develop recommendations for future market structure, including: –Performance Measures –Certification & Testing of Service Providers –Default Metering Services –Inventory Requirements for TDSPs and Service Providers –Data ownership requirements –Market Participants roles and responsibilities –Business processes and transaction requirements

6 Potential Future Voting Items Timeline for implementation of all activities needed to implement Rule 25.311 Approved Meter List Process for revising the Meter List Changes to Protocols Addition to Operating Guides Develop timeline and market structure for other competitive metering services Non-consensus discussion items
