Interventions evolution In average 2.5 intervention per day Monday Morning Meeting : 3rd of May 2010 Average of 2.5 “urgent” interventions per day Tech Stop Recovery after Tech Stop Easter WE

RU.R4 and RU.L4 Trips RU.R4 and RU.L4 tripped on 07/05 within 6 minutes: R4 due to faulty current reading; L4 due to (well-known) U_RES drift. Coincidence? LMC: 12 th of May 2010 real current I_DCCT current reading I_DCCT = 150 A with open switch U_RES drift over several days threshold

nQPS loss of internal communication Loss of internal communication of DQAMGS controllers in S67 (05/05) and S56 (09/05). Under these circumstances correct functioning of nQPS cannot be guaranteed. May be masked at injection level, but not for ramp! Requires a power-cycle of the controller that triggers switches to be opened. Consequently heaters were fired (31R6 on 05/05) and (16L6 and A17L6 on 09/05). LMC: 12 th of May 2010 nQPS controller problem Heaters fired

Other issues since May 2 nd 03/05: all 600 A circuits now part of software interlock system preventing injection. Spurious triggers averted by additional logic. 04/05: Water-pressure problem affects RD1.R2 and RQ9.R2B2. Problem fixed by access. 04/05: Splice-measurement on 6kA bus-bars on IPQs started left of 8. 06/05: RQD/F.A45 global bus-bar protection triggered as consequence of an 18 kV power converter failure on the surface. 07/05: Unstable circuit board causes trips of RQTL11.R2B2, fixed on 11 May by MPE piquet 08/05: U_Lead voltage readings wrong on board A of RQTL11.L5B1 and RQS.L7B2. For now running on board B. Waiting for the next technical stop LMC: 12 th of May 2010
