What is the value of a work breakdown structure? Everyone does it in every industry. It forces you to think. It encourages accountability.

What is a work breakdown structure? WBS is a hierarchical decomposition of project deliverables WBS visually shows several levels of activities involved in completing a project.

Let’s Practice Suppose you want to put on an event where you invite an influential speaker as an event for UNT students and faculty. Create a WBS for this end goal. Start with the major deliverables or phases of the project Divide each phase into component deliverables Divide each of these component deliverables into a set of tasks
