Write the age of 5 people you know in Roman numerals. Try to include a range of ages. Find out about the story of Romulus and Remus. Draw and write a comic strip of it. Don’t forget to use speech bubbles and captions to explain the story. STARTERS MAINS DESSERTS The Ancient Egyptians had their own number system. Research this system and use it to write out some number sentences. Design your own hieroglyphic alphabet using pictures relevant to life in Britain today. Find out about what the Ancient Egyptians used to eat. Create a menu for a) a pharaoh AND b) a slave. Write a detailed set of instructions on how to make a mummy. 1. Make a fact sheet about an Egyptian Pharaoh of your choice. Ensure you use interesting vocabulary and the full range of punctuation. Research an aspect of life in Ancient Egypt, choosing from ‘Irrigation and Farming’, ‘Hair, Clothes and Jewellery’, ‘Warfare and Trade’. Create a map showing the key places in Ancient Egypt, compare it with a map of modern Egypt. How has the country changed? Write a paragraph to explain. Write a profile of an Egyptian God. Make a model pyramid out of card or other suitable material. Make a cartouche of your name, using clay, plasticine or any other suitable material. Make an item of Egyptian jewellery using any suitable material. Display it in a box with a label to add to our class Museum of Ancient Egypt.
