2.  Population in Norway: 4 980 000  Norwegian Knowledge Centre for Health Services is responsible for the first investigation on patient injuries ever done in Norway  15% of all patients in 2010 were damaged in the hospital  10 % of deaths last year were caused by hospital errors = 4,500 deaths  Probably half of the deaths (2000 patients) could have been avoided with better practices, better hygiene, and with higher priority of the patient’s safety.
