Art Deco A popular Art style that began in France after world war I.
It quickly spread around the world and dominated the design world until World War II. Influenced, Art, Fashion, Advertising, Automobile industry, and Architecture.

Art Nouveau compared to Art Deco
Art Nouveau : 1880s – WWI Art Deco: 1920s – WWII Both are purely aesthetic design styles and encompass all aspects of design from art, architecture, interior and furniture design, graphic and advertising design, industrial design, jewelry, fashion, Etc. Art Nouveau was a reaction to Industrial Revolution, with organic patterns and influences. Transition from Neo-classicism to Modernism. Art Deco was a reaction to Art Nouveau, embraced modern materials, geometric patterns influenced by ancient and Mid-eastern cultures.
