March 2012 Updates: Celebrating Purim and Passover Hahgoot was excited to get a Mishloach Manot for Purim from her friend Alana, now living in St Ives. Exploring the similarities and differences of various Hagadot, when learning about Passover.
2
I taught Dorothea how to make the hamantaschen cookies, unique for Purim, and she made a huge quantity. We used them for my “3 in 1” party, for a plate Hahgoot shared with her classmates, for our many Mishlochei Manot and just for munching at home and with guests. They were a very big success!
3
Hahgoot drew a series of “advertisements” for products that will help you through the 10 plagues (we sent it to the BJE). I made her a workbook in Hebrew with Passover related activities and enjoyed it very much.
4
She searched the dictionary for hard words and definitions, did grammar tasks on her own, solved math riddles and generally was motivated again to do her Hebrew studies after a long time she wasn’t co- operating.
5
I also gave her a workbook in English about Mummies and pyramids, which she greatly enjoyed and finished quickly by herself.
6
Special stickers also were a good motivator... Hahgoot made Purim cards for her many friends.
7
And then made A LOT of mishlochei manot with treats, Purim props and homemade festive cookies.
8
Hahgoot enjoyed her “Purim factory”... In our next presentation: Some more news from Hahgoot
