2. Review of the legislation changes in the conformity assessment area that have been made since the last CEFTA meeting in 2003  further EC Directive was implemented into our legislation,  the first wave of PECA was approved in five sector annexes,  the second wave of PECA was approved in seven sector annexes,  the second amendment (No 254/2003 Coll.) of the Act on conformity assessment came into force on 1 August 2003.

3. Further EC Directive was implemented  Directive No 99/36/EC on transportable pressure equipment was implemented in the form of Government Ordinance No 176/2003 Coll.  The Slovak Republic has not implemented just two EC New Approach Directives yet (Interoperability of the Trans-European System of the High-Speed Railways 96/48/EC and Conventional rail system 2001/16/EC)

4. First wave of PECA  on 29th July 2002 the president of SOSMT initialled the PECA Protocol  on 26th February 2003 he signed PECA on behalf of the President of the Slovak Republic  PECA came into force on 1 July 2003 in five sector annexes

13.  In a non-harmonized area the SOSMT Decree No 509/2003 Coll. on inclusion of products to determined products came into force on 1 January 2004  This Decree includes the Mutual Recognition clause  It relates to products imported from third countries
