6 Website Evaluation-CARRDS Current – does the info reflect the latest info? Accurate – is the info supported by other research documents? Reliable – who created this site? Relevant – does it focus on the topic and topic’s angle? Date – when was this site last updated? Scope – is the info too simple, too technical, or just right? Determine whether or not you should a website

7 In other words…. If you don’t know who published…. Or you don’t know when it was published….. Or you don’t know when it was updated….. Or you don’t know why it was published…….. You better think twice BEFORE using it!

14 Planning & Brainstorming saves time Think Quality: Library and the Library website, 24/7 If you can’t figure out who published the info or when, don’t use it Cite little known facts, statistics, & direct quotes using Noodle Bib Use Turn It In to check your originality and avoid plagiarism Help is available – Just ask. Be Smart!
