FIRST CONDITIONAL “If” clause + Present Tense + future Example: If we go to the concert on Friday, it will be cheaper.

Used to talk about possibilities in the present or future. If you study hard, you will pass the test. dependent clause independent clause You will pass the test if you study hard.

The first conditional can be used to talk about things which may happen: If it’s sunny, we’ll go to the park. (it’s possible that it will be sunny, but not guaranteed)

We can also use “unless”. You will be unhappy unless you break up with your girlfriend. Unless you break up with your girlfriend, you’re going to be unhappy.
