The U.S.A dropped an atomic bomb on it at 8:15 A.M. on August 6, 1945, near the end of World War 2. 140,000 people died in this bombing out of a population of 255,000 people 66,000 people died instantly They got hit by a bomb called “ Little Boy”

It was a much more difficult target than Hiroshima. Fat Man exploded at 1,840 feet above Nagasaki and approximately 500 feet south of the Mitsubishi Steel and Armament Works with an estimated force of 22,000 tons of TNT.
