2 FOF start with….  Understanding how important it is to be physically active every day  Knowing how to take care of your body, exercise safely, and live a healthy life style.  Evaluating our fitness levels, by taking fitness tests

5 Why is this important/ Strengths Pre-assessment  Students can become aware of where their fitness levels are  Students can see what they need to improve on  This gives healthy students confidence about their fitness levels  Healthy competition Post-assessment  Students set goals on what they want their numbers to be for the post-assessment  This keeps them motivated and physically active

6 Weaknesses / negatives of test  Students who struggle through these test can become discouraged  Many students do not push themselves because they are afraid what they “look like”  Overly competitive  Students start to compare themselves to other and it has a negative affect on them  Students are afraid of doing poorly and it effects their performance

7 Availability  Fitness gram test reaches over 20,000 schools and 10 million students in the united states alone.  If not provided at your high school, anyone has the ability to take this test.test Safety  Fitness testing is a very safe way to understand the foundations of fitness if done correctly  If educators and students are not educated correctly on how to perform each test, it can be a risk  Prone to injury if done incorrectly  Educators must read students if they are pushing themselves to hard and force them to stop. Ex-pacer test
