4.  Landscape design is the art of grouping plants together in an attractive and functional setting  Landscape design has two directions: 1. Landscape designer- studies the horticulture behind the industry  Knowledgeable in plant i.d., plant growth, and principles of design  2 or 4 year college  Works at a nursery or on residential projects or small scale public projects 2.
