2
Potential Energy Energy stored within a physical system as a result of the position or configuration of the different parts of that system
3
Kinetic Energy The energy of a body or a system with respect to the motion of the body or of the particles in the system
4
Joule the SI unit of work or energy, equal to the work done by a force of one newton when its point of application moves through a distance of one meter in the direction of the force: equivalent to 10 ergs and one watt-second.
5
Wattage The amount of power required to operate an electrical appliance or device
6
Renewable Energy any naturally occurring, theoretically inexhaustible source of energy, as biomass, solar, wind, tidal, wave, and hydroelectric power, that is not derived from fossil or nuclear fuel.

Weather-stripping a narrow strip of material to cover the joint of a door or window to exclude the cold a narrow strip of material to cover the joint of a door or window to exclude the cold
9
Insulation the use of material to resist the flow of electric current and magnetism
10
Rfactor a numeric measure of a material's ability to insulate against heat or cold. Also used for windows.
11
Greenhouse Emissoins are gases in an atmosphere that absorb and emit infrared range
12
Thermostat a device for regulating the temperature of a system so that the system's temperature is maintained near a desired set point temperature.
13
Ambient Tempature non-specific phrase used to describe the outside temperature.
14
Efficiency desired energy output per energy input
