3 ●Developing capacity within BSP to deliver commissioned activities from the LA, from Brent schools and others ●More effective and efficient communication about the work of the Partnership Key Strategic Developments

4 Two significant developments: ●The establishment of Brent Centres of Excellence, Expertise & Development (CEED) ●Brent Secondary Schools Collaborative Strengthening Capacity

5 Defining CEED schools ●Expertise and outstanding practice/track record ●Commitment capacity, energy and enthusiasm to share knowledge ●Innovate and go beyond tried and tests solutions ●Not necessarily Good or Outstanding schools ●Responsibility for the impact on improving outcomes in their client or partner schools Opportunity to become a CEED School

6 Process for application and designation ●Written submission – expertise, track record, in school capacity ●Written commitment to deliver ●Assessment Panel to consider applications ●Further information gathered if required ●Designation ●Feedback to unsuccessful school and pointers towards developing practice or capacity for a future bid Opportunity to become a SEED School

7 Brent Secondary School Collaborative Commitment to ensuring that every school has : ●Access to high quality Leadership and Professional Development ●Celebration and sharing of expertise and areas of outstanding practice ●Local delivery, led and managed by Brent Secondary Schools

8 ●Synergy and alignment with other key stakeholder, in particular with Brent Local Authority and Teaching School Alliances, so that schools support and challenge are within a coherent framework ●The principle of autonomy of BSP within a collaborative ethos ●Engagement at strategic level, as well as operational Partnership and collaboration

9 ●Schools feedback on needs and priorities ●Inspection findings ●Analysis of schools Raiseonline and Data Dashboards where schools make these available ●Identification of priorities to inform provision from BSP ●Liaison with the Local Authority on all the above Analysis of needs

10 ●BSP Associates Team ●BSP Board strategic planning, incorporating the outcomes of education commission ●More efficient systems and processes for access to BSP provision ●Agreed charging framework for some BSP offers ●The possibility of a register of Quality Assured BSP Consultants – Brent schools/external consultants Developing Capacity within BSP

12 Prepare to succeed ●Managing the Ofsted process, not being managed by the process ●Using the Ofsted criteria to inform longer term strategies for improvement ●Today is the start. A further 12 sessions will be on offer over the coming year. Today’s Conference
