Qualifications Age: Must be at least 25 Residency: Must live in the state where they were elected Citizenship: Must have been a citizen for at least 7 years

Elections: held every two years Responsilities : - Impose and collect taxes and duties - Borrow money - Regulate commerce with foreign nations and among the states - Coin money - Establish post office - Declare war - Raise and support and army and a navy

Qualifications -Age: must be at least 30 years old -Residency: must live in the state you are chosen to represent -Citizenship: must be a United State citizens for at least 9 years

Elections: held every six years Two Senate from each state Responsibilities -Choose their officers -Have the sole power to try all impeachments -When the president of the United State is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside

Consists of the President and Vice-President Qualifications: -Age: must be at least 35 years old -Residency: must live in the United States for at least 14 years -Citizenship: must be a natural-born citizen

Elections: Every four years Responsibilities: -Carry and enforce laws made by congress -Make treaties with other nation -Appoint certain government officials -Act as commander-in-chief of the armed forces -Veto laws passed by Congress

Supreme Court Needed to decide disputes between state government and between citizen of two or more states Also needed for disputes between the national government and a state or citizen. Appointed by the President for life or until they retire Two types of jurisdiction: original jurisdiction and appellate jurisdiction

No person shall be forced to answer for a capital or otherwise infamous crime unless on an indictment of a Grand Jury. No person shall be tried for the same crime twice No person shall be denied of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. Property cannot be taken away from a person without compensation.

Defines citizenship. No state shall make laws that deprives a person of life, liberty. Or property, without due process of law. Nor shall they deny any person within its jurisdiction equal protection of the laws.
