MCI AMATEUR RADIO CLUB JUNE 2, 19982 OBJECTIVES/BENEFITS n COMMUNITY PUBLIC SERVICE OBJECTIVE –March of Dimes Walkathon –Multiple Sclerosis Walk –Juvenile Diabetes Foundation Walk –Muscular Dystrophy Association Walk n COMMUNITY SERVICE BENEFIT –Will provide MCI corporate recognition for volunteer work already being done by employees under banner of other company amateur radio clubs.

MCI AMATEUR RADIO CLUB JUNE 2, 19983 OBJECTIVES/BENEFITS n EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS OBJECTIVE –SKYWARN (volunteer weather spotting, in conjunction with National Weather Service Forecast Offices ) –Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service –Amateur Radio Emergency Service –Intra-MCI Emergency Communications n EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS BENEFIT –Will provide public relations to local, state, and national governmental agencies and similar emergency service groups in other corporations.

MCI AMATEUR RADIO CLUB JUNE 2, 19984 OBJECTIVES/BENEFITS n TECHNICAL TRAINING OBJECTIVE –Amateur license training –Emergency operations skills training –New technology overviews –Engineering design seminars n TECHNICAL TRAINING BENEFIT –This training would be provided at no cost to MCI, and would enhance the overall skill levels of those involved.

MCI AMATEUR RADIO CLUB JUNE 2, 19986 OUR REQUEST n Permission to form corporate-wide club of licensed employees n Use of the MCI name and logo on club materials n Permission to coordinate (post notices, etc.) n Use of public access meeting rooms n Use of WEB space on the intranet for club coordination n Use of WEB space on the internet for public information n Corporate support to provide volunteer recognition items (t-shirts, etc.) n Recognition that, as club matures, the need for corporate support may increase.
