Learning Outcomes Students will identify a personal foundation and two interests to create a mash-up and then view leaders with similar profiles. Students will understand the need to focus on their foundation first, in order to point them toward tangible activities within their interests. Students will gain an understanding of the connection between their foundation and interests as it relates to their future career path. Importance of a Solid Foundation and Interests The road ahead will be filled with twists and turns as you work to define your own personal path and enter into your future. Being able to figure out what your foundation is and how it attracts you to your different interests can provide you with valuable insight for where you want to be in the future. Understanding the Connection Your personal foundation is something that is central to who you are and reflects what you enjoy doing in the world. Your foundation is the underlying reason you are drawn to your interests. Your interests are the things that excite and engage you on a daily basis; the things you love to do. Focusing in on your foundation first, points you toward those tangible activities within your interests. Create Your Own Unique Mash-up Now you will have the opportunity to view more stories of leaders who have a similar foundation and interests as you. Using the Naviance Roadtrip, create your own unique mash-up. Remember that there does not have to be only one single path for you as an individual. You may choose a foundation and interests and realize that you want to go back to the beginning and start over. Feel free to go through the process multiple times.
