NOUNS 0 Nouns name people, places, and things. 0 Every noun can be classified as common or proper.

PROPER NOUN 0 A proper noun has two distinctive features: 1) it will name a specific item, person, place or creature and 2) it will begin with a capital letter no matter where it is in the sentence. 0 Examples: cookies = Oreo / teacher = Mr. Irizarry city = Orlando / restaurant = Fazzio

COMMON NOUN 0 A common noun names general items. They are not capitalized unless they begin a sentence. 0 Go into a classroom. (even though we are in one) What do you see? Desks, books, windows, notebooks, backpacks, etc. 0 All of those are common nouns.
