You attempt to leave, but one potholer gets stuck in the exit hole. He will eventually be rescued, as his face is sticking out into the open air. Behind him, the five of you will soon drown as the waters rise. Someone has brought some dynamite with them to blow up rockfalls. Do you use it to blast him out of the way, or accept your fate, drown and leave him to be rescued. What would you do?

3. Jeremy Kyle Show You are going to appear as guests on the Jeremy Kyle show to give your advice on a moral dilemma based on what you would do in a particular situation. You are going to be divided into 6 groups and be given a particular religion. You need to give advice as though you were a follower of that religion and consider how your belief in the afterlife is going to affect your decision making in this life, and consequently the advice you give.

4. Jeremy Kyle ‘Should I help a friend in need’? You have just got married and have been saving for years for your perfect honeymoon. It is a once in a lifetime trip and it is unlikely you will be able to save up the money to do this again. However, your next door neighbour has just lost his job and has no way of providing for his wife and children. He cannot find work and is struggling to live off the little savings he has left. You are considering getting a refund for your honeymoon to help him out but are reluctant to give up the holiday you have been so looking forward to. He has a big decision to make. What should he do?

5. Your job: Read through the information you have been given about your religion and highlight any key points. Use this information to come to a decision on what he should do. You then will need to write a speech to deliver on the Jeremy Kyle Show. This speech will not only have to give your advice, but also explain why you came to this decision. You will need to refer to specific religious beliefs about how a belief in the afterlife affects how we live in this life.

6. Decision Time Each group is now going to deliver their speech. As you are listening to other presentations, you need to note down the key points about how a belief in the afterlife affects their moral decisions.
