16 Rome 200315 The project TeenTour joins students from different countries with different ages and knowledge-level. The students have to produce a Webpage which shares information about the individual region/city, seen from the individual students’ point of view. With this project, TeenTour –A guided tour for teenagers - the partner schools want to develop strategies for the students’ involvement in the learning process. In fact students start to gather information from step one, then they have to sort out the most important elements of their interests in their region. They plan the link for their area, discuss the opportunities of their spare time with other students, focus their attention on their own desires and ideas and get involved in the problems that appear during the process. They take part in the whole process of the project and will benefit from learning and interacting with other pupils, their teachers, other teachers and representatives of institutions. This will contribute to a personal and social improvement in a lifelong learning perspective. Finally, it’s necessary that everybody is aware of the physical and cultural differences of the people who live in Europe if we want to build the European Union: pupils will find out that tolerance and respect together with “listening” abilities are the main tools for being a European citizen.
