(going to ___, need to ___, have to ____, want to ____) ◦ In those cases, you conjugate the first verb, which is the one that is connected to the person or thing doing the action and the second one is left in the infinitive form.  The second verb stays in the infinitive form because that is the part that says “to _____” ◦ I need TO EAT. I am going TO STUDY. ◦ The infinitive form means “to _____”
