1 Replacing hardware 3.1 First view a video showing how to prepare a computer system for a hardware installation/upgrade (e.g. Hard drive, DVD Drive and RAM –Screen print the videos with their link). 2 How to install a Hard drive 1.Disconnect the power for the power supply to make sure that you don’t get an electric shock while installing the hard drive. 2.You will need to unscrew your desktop until you see all the components you can do this by using a screwdriver or if there’s a clip to open the side of your desktop depending on the desktop design. 3.You need to find the slots for the hard drive and make that there is a free slot. Then you need to check if it fits into the correct slot. 4.Once you check that the hard drive fits into the slot you need to screw in your hard drive to safely secure it. 5.After that you will need to connect the power cable from the power supply to the hard drive then you will need to connect the SATA cable to the hard drive from the mother board. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbBJlaMBfxg

3 How to install RAM 1.When preparing to install RAM you will need to shutdown and unplug the main power. 2.You will need to unscrew your desktop until you see all the components you can do this by using a screwdriver or if there’s a clip to open the side of your desktop depending on the desktop design. ( make sure that you use un-magnetized screw drivers). 3.The you need to locate where the RAM slots are and make sure their is a slot that is free to install your new RAM. 4.After you do that you will need to that you have a anti - static mat and wrist band. You will need to clip the anti – static wrist band an un painted area on the tower. 5.Then get the RAM that you installing in your hand and place it in the same position as the other RAM on the you mother board a gently push until the two clips locks the RAM into the mother board. (make sure the notch matches the notch on the slot so that you wouldn’t damage the RAM while installing it) 6.If it doesn’t work on your computer that mean you didn’t buy the correct RAM for your computer. 7.When you install the RAM you will need to make sure that the RAM is install in the right coloured slot which is the blue slots first then the black slots. 8.Make sure that it is install in to the slot that is closes to the processor. 9.Once you done that your done all you have to do is to put the computer back together and switch your computer on and it already detect the that you install RAM then it will be ready to be used. 10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYusJ4gYVG8http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYusJ4gYVG8

4 How to install CD/DVD Drive 1.Before you start to open the your tower you will need to make that the computer is properly shut down and that you disconnected all the wires. 2.You need to find space in the tray for you to place the your CD/DVD drive. 3.Once you found that you will need to make sure that you placed in the correct position on the tray and make sure that its secured by screwing it in. 4.After that you will need to plug in the power connecter from your power supply to your CD/DVD drive 5.The plug in the IDE cable to your mother board then to your CD/DVD drive. 6.Then plug in the power supply and switch on your computer then you are done. 7.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAy6IqX8fckhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAy6IqX8fck
