1 Bellwork Sept. 3, 2015 Write a short informative article about mongooses. Write for an audience of third graders. What do you think third graders would like to know about mongooses? Include at least 3 facts that we have discussed in class that you think would interest third graders. Your article should be 5-6 sentences.

2 Bellwork Sept. 3, 2015 1 st Period Summary from yesterday: Mongooses were imported on farms. Without predators, their population increased. The population is hard to eliminate. Microchips are being used to study them.

3 Bellwork Sept. 3, 2015 2 nd Period Summary from yesterday: Copy the summary your class made from yesterday. The mongoose population increased on islands. Mongooses overpower other species. The microchip is helping scientists find information about mongooses.

5 Hook Day 1: Now that we have read an informational text about Mongooses, complete a bubble map to describe what they are like (use adjectives).
