3. Materials String Balloons Sellotape Scissors Two chairs Cloths peg

4. Method 1. Put string through drinking straw 2. Blow up a long shaped balloon and keep the air in using a cloths peg. 3. Using sellotape attach the balloon to the side of the straw. 4. Pull the whole thing back to the beginning of the string and let go of the balloon.

5. Conclusion The air coming out of the balloon pushes it forward. This is how rockets work- the hot burning gases rushing out of the back of the rocket pushes it along.
