Camps for children with disabilities allow children with physical disabilities to participate in modified sports and activities. Some of the activities include swimming, yoga, fall ball, dance and drama. They need youth volunteers ages 12 and up to assist once a week. They pair up volunteers with a participant of the camp for each activity and help figure out what is needed to best meet his or her physical and personal needs. You just go down to any camp that help kids that are disabled in your community and sign up to interact and you will be able to assist with the disabled. Children are not defined by their disabilities and need our support and friend ship. You can count the hours you spend helping at a camp for disabilities as a community service for the school.
