NewMediaArts art 257 :: motion graphic design :: week 15 :: b :: in-class lesson (2 nd half of class)  How to prepare your sketches and animations to become portfolio entries  choose which projects you would like to prepare to become a part of your portfolio  digitize your sketches  “clean” up your sketches/prepare them to be scanned  use a thick black marker  scan your sketches at 300dpi  clean them up in Photoshop  erase dirt and unnecessary artifacts from your scan  adjust your image (levels, contrast, etc.)  design your portfolio layout  design the layout for how you want to show both the progression of your designs from sketch to final AND the progression of time in your animations
