Sources of fund at the Directorate of General Studies IGR restricted to: i. Registration for GST Courses ii. Sales of Text books Whatever accrues therefore depends on the total number of students admitted into 100 level programme in the University.

We wish to suggest though speculatively, the following for adoption and possible implementation.

Instituting measures that will guarantee that all 100 level students register and obtain the required texts

All students of the University in Affiliate Colleges should be made to register for GST courses and pay for the GST Textbooks through their respective Colleges for onward remittance to the University.

Students final Clearance form for the Collection of Results should include a Column for the Directorate to enable it sign off and recover all lost funds by doggers.

Prices for sales of GST Books should be increased to reflect the economic reality of the day. A sum of N1, 000.00 is recommended. Also registration fees for GST courses for Fresh Students should be increased to N1, 000.00.

Extending compulsory GST Courses to Institutes in the University and the College of Medicine.

Investing a percentage of Capital reserve in banking products as tenured funds or stocks

However since all monies are held in trust for the University, only the University may direct on matters of such possible investments.
