Ageism Ageism is stereotyping and discriminating against individuals or groups on the basis of their age. This may be casual or systematic. The term was to describe discrimination against seniors, and patterned on sexism and racism.

Ageism Questions What are four positive things about growing older?
Describe the difficulties and limitations you experience as you age in life. How do people treat elders in life? Come up with three specific examples. Who in Of Mice and Men is older?

Racism Racism consists of ideologies and practices that seek to justify, or cause, the unequal distribution of privileges, rights, or goods amongst, or otherwise exhibit hatred or prejudice towards, different racial groups. It is often based on a desire to dominate or a belief in the inferiority of another race.

Gender Gender is the range of characteristics pertaining to, and differentiating between, masculinity and femininity. It also analyzes how race, ethnicity, location, class, nationality, and disability intersect with the categories of gender and sexuality.

Mental and Physical Capabilities
Characters who are limited or disabled by either Mental or Physical capabilities. Often a character who is disabled in either aspect is marginalized and isolated from the group.
