Outcomes: 1. Name five types of sound effects used as literary devices in poetry. 2. Define these terms: repetition, alliteration, rhyme, rhythm, onomatopoeia. 3. Identify the use of repetition, alliteration, rhyme, rhyme scheme, rhythm, and onomatopoeia in designated poems from your poetry booklet.

What feature is the most obvious or apparent one when we hear someone reading a poem? The first and most obvious feature is how a poem sounds. Last week we identified five types of literary sound devices used in poetry. Can you name them? Repetition Alliteration Rhyme Rhythm Onomatopoeia
