4. Beware of the –ing curse -ing can be added to your adjectives, but not your verbs. Strolling down the path.(Not a complete sentence) (Missing subject) I strolling down the path. (Not correct grammar) Burning leaves evaporate with a blink of an eye.  Adjectives okay for –ing.

5. Maps Use circle map to collect your nouns(which become your subjects) Use a double bubble map to collect your vivid verbs and sensory adjectives. Create you active voice sentence. These are great for opening lines in essays. (attention grabbers)
