In Groups Consult: Timing for poster Timing for Power Point Give assignments to each member (Use cards) Practice timing yourselves Students who are doing project alone need to sit with Mrs. Billings to consult on timing for poster, brochure, and power point Send before Monday, May 18 brochure and power point to mbillings@rafos.org

Country Project : have you read carefully? Part II : Decide upon a persuasive approach to convince visitors to travel to your country! Each group will have a power point presentation and must display your poster, brochure or calendar for everyone to see. Presentations should last between 10 to 15 minutes.

Suggestions for Poster: (you can print pictures too) (6-8 big nice pictures ) Big Title of Country Names of group members Include your research: a short paragraph explaining anything about the following : map of Country, name of country with main 2-3cities. Population, language, currency & exports Flag and Coat of Arms (meaning of colors, symbols) Exotic animal or exotic flower, exotic fruit, Any of the culture you learned from festival or country Instrument, Places to visit: any beautiful places you want tourist visit Famous athletic team or sport if you want

Suggestions for Power Point: you must have: (8-10 slides) Title and name of Country Name of each student that participated 1colorful slide (of each) with just bullets not paragraphs of any info you may have found on: o Map of the country with Capitol and 2 cities o 1-2 Mountains or volcano and o 1 river or lake you researched o 2 cities to visit: museums, parks, churches, architectural buildings (if you want find a nice hotel or restaurant nearby) o Nearby: o Ruins, Beaches National Parks o Exotic animal or flower Culture such as: 1 – 2 slides of one of your Festivals o Famous dish and recipe Famous singer and kind of music Famous dancer (individual or group) Typical clothes for dancing and music Any video link on the above and at least 1 video of any of the above. COUNTRY PROJECT (Part I: either brochure, poster or calendar) Part II: Power Point Become a persuasive tour guide of a Spanish speaking country of your choice. Impress your tourists! Contents: Geographical features of the country (show on map) ocean or oceans that surround the country 2 main rivers and 2 main mountain(s) (volcano) 3 main cities including the capitol weather A picture of the flag or an outline of the country on the cover of the brochure with the following information: Population of the country, currency and language/s. Country’s exports. Some historical information about the country (When did it become independent? Is there anything particularly unique about the country’s history?) Today’s government, name of President. Cultural information about the country Become a persuasive Tour Guide Festival or holiday that is celebrated in that country Typical Food / recipe Typical music/ instruments /famous singer Typical dances / typical clothing /famous dancer Famous cities and sites within the country famous museums, parks, Caves beaches, monuments, ruins, art/ or architecture Typical animal, bird or fish of country.
