Historical Sights Stonehenge is a Neolithic monument from 3000BC. We don’t know exactly what it was used for. It might have been a religious sight, an astronomical sight, healing sight or burial sight.

Tower bridge Tower bridge is over the river Thames near the Tower of London. It was built in 1890. When a tall ship wants to pass, it opens… Tower of London The Tower of London was built in 1060. It was a castle, a prison and treasury.

People in Wales speak their own language, Welsh, which is a Celtic language. Wales is a beautiful country with famous coasts, mountains and lakes…but it rains a lot!

People in Northern Ireland speak English and their own language. Its capital city is Belfast. Some people in Northern Ireland want to have their independence from the UK. Irish beer is famous.

Scotland is known for its courtside-Highlands, its lakes (Loch) and its castles. Its also famous for its traditional, musical instruments(bagpipes), its music and its whiskey!
