GENESIS Chapter 14 RESCUE OF LOT – THE TITHE Introduction A.    Land not able to support Abram and Lot’s herds. 1.   Lot had choice of all the Land.

B.    AFTER separation the Lord restated His promise. 1. Proverbs 14:7-12 a)   Decisions not based on the Word of God, end in disaster.

10 a)    Hebrews 7:1-4 B.    Important things: 1.  Melchizedek = “King of Righteousness.” 2.  Salem = “King of Peace.” 3.  Melchizedek Priest of the Most High God.

5.  Melchizedek had no traceable heritage. 6.  Melchizedek like the Son of God. a)    Abram paid tithes to Him! (1)   The Lord met Abram that day!

12 (a)   Last point: (i)   Abram takes nothing for himself. (ii)  Paid tribute to Melchizedek. (a)  Gave of what he already possessed! (b) He gave what was his.
