3 Introduction We use tens of thousands of chemicals every day chemicals are important to having a good life Important to national economy BUT chemicals can be bad for humans and environment

4 Sources of chemical pollution Domestic sewage Industrial discharges Seepage from waste sites Atmospheric fallout Domestic run-off Accidents and spills at sea Operational discharges from oil rigs Mining discharges Agricultural run-off

10 What can we do to prevent chemical pollution? Try and avoid plastic packaging, when incinerated it releases harmful chemicals
