3. ›Nouns can be replaced with pronouns when the subject is known. In the sentences below, Ramona and ella refer to the same person. “Ella” is a pronoun meaning “she”. ›Ej: Ramona es mi amiga. Ella es mi compañera de clase. ›Ramona is my friend. She is my classmate.

5. ›Ser (pronounced “sayer”) means “to be”. Use this verb to say am, is or are. Anytime you use a noun or subject pronoun with a verb you must conjugate or change it to match the subject. Memorize these Spanish conjugations and pronouns.
