MAP-21 Reauthorization – Setting the Stage Signed July 6, 2012; 27-month authorization Extended four times since Most recent extension expires November 20, 2015 Senate passed DRIVE Act in August, House passed STRR Act on November 5 Conferees are being appointed Prospects of a bill look generally positive (did I say that out loud?) Funding may be a sticking point, but may be resolved Speaker Paul Ryan and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell are key figures

($54.2 billion/year) 6-year bill, 6 years of funding (?!) Neugebauer amdt provides Federal Reserve “surplus funds”
