5. Born in 1790 in Virginia, at his father’s plantation. His father was John Tyler Sr., a politician and a farmer. Tyler graduated from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia in 1807. Afterwards, he privately studied law.

6. In 1811, Tyler was elected into Virginia Legislature, beginning his tyranny on America.  When he was 23, he married Letitia Christian in 1813. They had eight kids.
