Asimile is an expression which describes a person/thing as being similar to someone/something else. It is usually usually introduced by “like” or “as “as … as”. Similies

My neck is as stiff as a wooden door. I cannot move my neck. It hurts.

My hands are as cold as ice. My hands are very cold.
