8 COURSE REQUIREMENTS  A ttend the class to qualify for the signature and to sit for the progress tests (6 absences in the semester tolerated )  Do not arrive late ( do not enter after the teacher )  B ring your Coursebook and Resource bank regularly  Participate in the class ( home assignements, research, project work, study and prepare for each class )

9 FINAL GRADE ELEMENTS  Passing two written progress tests or one comprehensive written test at the end of the term  Final oral exam  Presentation ( a team work )  Regular class participation

10 WRITTEN PROGRESS TEST  Pass = 50% = 26 points ( grade D )  Fail ( E ) with 20 points = allow you to sit for the 2 nd progress test  2 written progress tests = 100 points  Pass = 50% = 51 point = the minimum final score to be able to sit for the final oral exam

11 FINAL COMPREHENSIVE TEST W ritten and oral WHO FOR ?  S tudents who failed the progress tests  T hose who didn’t sit for the progress tests  Students who are not satisfied with the grade from the progress tests

12 CLASS PARTICIPATION  Checking the knowledge from the previous class lecture ( pop quiz )  T aking part in discussions  C ompleting home assignements

13 PRESENTATIONS  T eams (5 students )  15 minutes  T opics related to the syllabus of this semester  T eams deliver PPTs during the teacher’s office hours ( dv. 39)  Timetable – 3 teams every week in November & December  T he best PPT will take part in the Presentation Competition in 2016

14 WRITTEN PROGRESS TEST & COMPREHENSIVE TEST T est your :  R eading skills : understanding articles and reports concerned with contemporary business issues  Writing skills : ability to write business emails / letters using appropriate style  Y our recognition and active use of specialist vocabulary

15 FINAL ORAL EXAM  T hree questions from three different areas of the course syllabus (3 paper slips )  D emonstrate your ability to clearly and coherently discuss business topics covered by the course using specialist vocabulary  E xpress a viewpoint on a topical issue ( advantages, disadvantages, agreeing, disagreeing..)

16 How to apply for the exam ?  Y ou apply for the exam through studomat  It is not necessary for the progress test  I t is obligatory for the final oral ( if you pass written progress tests ) to have your grade entered in the index  I t is obligatory for the final comprehensive written and oral exam (2 exam terms in February )

17 WHEN ? 1 st WRITTEN PROGRESS TEST  MID NOVEMBER 2 nd WRITTEN PROGRESS TEST  END OF JANUARY FINAL ORAL EXAM  ( FINAL WEEK IN JANUARY ) WRITTEN COMPREHENSIVE TEST + ORAL EXAM  2 EXAM PERIODS IN FEBRUARY
