The military generals have informed you of 3 possible ways to launch nuclear missiles at the asteroid. It’s up to you to figure out how to save everyone on the planet! Option 1 – Ground Launch: The missile will be launched from a site at ground level. This missile climbs upwards at a speed of 1 mile per minute. Option 2 – Plane Launch: The missile will be launched from a plane flying at an altitude of 6 miles. However these missiles are slower and can only climb at a speed of 1 mile every 3 minutes. Option 3 – Submarine Launch: The missile will be launched from a submarine which is cruising at a depth of 1 mile below the surface. Missiles launched from a submarine travel at a speed of 2 miles per minute g(x) =p(x) =s(x) = If the asteroid gets too close to the ground, the explosion from the missile would cause as much damage as the asteroid alone would have.
