4  Originated in the Middle East  Their tail stands straight out when they run like a flag  They have a small head and are kind of high strung

5  Saddlebred horses are 15to 17 hands high.  Saddlebred hoses have long backs so their saddles fit firmly.  Saddlebreds are gentle, easy to train,and very graceful.

6  Appaloosas have spots on them.  Appaloosas can be seen all over the world.  They compete in polo and jumping and many more sports.

7  They were bred in America  They are known to run quick short distance like the quarter of a mile race; hence the name Quarter Horse  Strong athletic horse  Most popular breed in America

8 Paints are the 2 nd largest breed in America. have to be registered either as a Quarter Horse or a Thoroughbred Paints that have all white legs are called Tobiano Paints. Paints that have a solid colored tail are Overo Paints are usually spotted

9  Thoroughbred horses are racing horses  They have Arabian blood in them  The first thoroughbred horse brought to America was named Bulle Rock  They begin training at 18 months old
