1 GDP by sector 2012 Source: DANE Colombia’s economy grew 4.0% during 2012 (USD 378 Billion). According with the IMF, the Colombian economy is expected to grow 4.5% during 2013. The main economic driver for 2013 will be the FDI reaching a 28% share in the GDP. Around 64% of the population are economically active and 23 million live in rural areas 400.000 graduates in business & engineering during 2012. GDP Composition: 56% Services, 37.5% industry and 6.6 agriculture “ Micro, small and medium companies make up 81% of the workforce and contribute on average 40% of GDP”

Construction sector grew 5.9% in the last 5 years. Retail, restaurants and hotels has grown 4.4% in the last 5 years. 278.063 new companies were created during 2012 (17% more than 2011). Around 98% small and medium enterprises. 182 companies are created every day in Colombia.

3 GDP per capita expected to reach USD 10.350 in 2013. House hold consumption: 61.2%. USD 55 Billion infrastructure program (2012- 2021). MILA is the number one stock market in Latin America by the quantity of companies listed, the 2nd in stock market capitalization and 3rd by trading volume. The country's communications infrastructure is supported by 5 submarine cables, supplemented by an inner optical fiber ring connecting 300 towns in the country. It is expected that by 2014, a total of 1.078 out of the 1.100 municipalities will be connected to the ring. 2 more cables under construction. Around 26 million internet users (18 th in the world) with around 25 million internet host (23th world). Colombia reached 47.3 million mobile sales.
