2 95 Theses Close Read MARKING THE TEXT AND TEXT DEPENDENT QUESTIONS

3 Marking the Text  Circle names of people, places and dates.  Highlight or box any unfamiliar words.  Underline the author’s claims, points, and relevant information.  Jot down what the author is saying for at least five of the theses/points.  At the end of your text, write your final impression on the impact of this historical text. Why does it matter?

4 With your partner…  Discuss the meanings of a few of the theses. Prepare to share one of these with the class.
