1. My life, hometown, and family

2. My name is Jared. I was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and have lived there my whole life. I was born on August 27 th 1997. I currently live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. My family consists of 5 people and a dog that acts like a cat. There’s my mom, Teresa, my dad, Greg, my sisters, Georgia, and my others sister Eva. I am 14 years old. I have about 18 cousins on my dads side and only 4 on my moms side.

3. My family is really funny and weird. Since I have already told you who is in my family I will be telling you what we do in our lives. My Dad is a realtor, he sells houses and helps people with choosing a house. My Mom works in the Human Resources department at a company called, Statoil. This company works in oiling industries in Alberta and in Norway. She recruits people for certain jobs. My Sister, Georgia is very competitive in dancing and is very good at it. She does a ton of dance and she really enjoys it. My other Sister, Eva, doesn’t like to do anything. All she really does in go to Art class once a week then watch TV for the rest of the day, and the day after, and the day after, and so on.

4. I love Hockey, Video games, Dirt biking and skiing. Hockey is a sport played on ice, in a rink. It’s a really fun sport and I enjoy playing it. Video games are computer stimulated games that you play for fun. You can also play people all over the world, so it pretty cool. I also love comedy shows like… The office, Family guy, Big bang theory, and The Simpsons. Now skiing is one of my favorites next to hockey. Its in my opinion the best winter sport.

5. About 150 years ago my great-great- grandparents left Ireland and journeyed to Canada to live a better life. At around the same time my other great-great- grandparents left Czechloslovakia(Czech Republic) to Canada and became farmers. Over 100 years later on the same farm my great-great-grandparents from Czechloslovakia bought, my mom was working in the garden. I think that’s pretty cool.

9. In Calgary there is lots of culture. There are tons of cultural events such as Globalfest. Globalfest is where all these great cultures around the world come together in Calgary every year and share their foods and culture with everyone else. Calgary is very cultural with tons of festivals to honor the great cultures around the world.
