Pizza BOX BIO Project  We are going to learn about artist’s intent, what an Art Movement is and create a Pizza Box about an artist to “deliver” and present to a class/teacher on campus.  Step ONE: Choose a partner (or not)  Step TWO: Select an Artist from the Scholastic Arts Magazines/books on table  Step Three: Take Cornell Notes from Article to use fro your project

PIZZA BOX BIOGRAPHIES  WARM-UP: Finish Artist Fact Sheet or Cornell notes and staple to images.  Turn in Research/Images BEFORE…  Setting up your space to paint cover of box and sides with white Acrylic paint.  Write you and your partners name (if you have a partner) and class period on bottom of box.

5. Pizza Box Bios. Day 5  Warm-up: get Pizza Boxes, images and a pencil.  Today: Draw artwork on cover of Pizza Box with pencil.  Use Simple GRID system to improve accuracy-  remember: you are copying your artist’s style to learn more about their Art and purpose for creating.

7. Artist Pizza Biographies- Day 6  Warm-up: What is plagiarism? Is our Artist Pizza Biography Project plagiarism? Why or why not?  Today’s GOAL: Create artwork Cover of box- Begin work on Pizza.  Paper mache “crust” of pizza and select what will represent the artist and tell more to the viewer about their life and work.

8. Day 7 Pizza Box Bio  Warm-up: select a quote from your artist and write it on construction paper or directly on the inside cover of pizza box NEATLY and LEGIBLY!  Work on cover of box and pizza design  Participate in clean-up- label all your work.

9. Day 9- Pizza Box Bios  Warm-up: get materials to work on Pizza Bio.  Use checklist to know what to do to complete and turn in your project.  Finish Artwork on Cover and Pizza- Write Facts about artist in pencil first, then outline with marker  HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

10. Pizza Box Biographies- day 10  Warm-up: Set up space for finishing project- get materials and checklist Goal Today: Pizza due ! Complete project and checklist- select a teacher to share with. Potter’s wheel or help set up glazes or read if you finish early.
