Status Report Major Events during the Past Year

Highlights On-going: Development of computer application, including enhancements and custom reporting system. (Demonstration later.) October 1, 2003: Data entry for 2001/2002 survey closed. October 15, 2003: CD published with 330 student summary data. Availability of CD announced to FAEIS users. October 2003: 120 CD’s mailed as requested. December 2003: Summary tables from CD published on the FAEIS site. January 8, 2004: System opened for 2002/2003 data entry. January 1 – June 1, 2004: 390 users contacted the Help Desk. June 15, 2004: Data entry for 2002/2003 survey closed.

Future Dates September 6, 2004 - Publish CD with 2002/2003 Student Survey Reports. October 1, 2004 - Projected date to open system for 2003/2004 data entry.

Help Desk Summary Since January 1, 2004: 150 different institutions have contacted the Help Desk since Over 400 contacts with the Help Desk 90% of the contacts by e-mail 95% of the replies were within 24 hours

Most Frequent Requests for Help TRM: 6/1/04 Setting up the surveys is the most difficult part of the process, but it only needs to be done the first year. We helped most of the 25 “new” institutions with the survey selection and assignment to users.

Most Frequent Requests for Help TRM: 6/1/04 These are mostly routine maintenance issues; i.e., lost passwords, change in users and new primary contacts
