PROMOTING SUCCESS IN EARLY COLLEGE MATHEMATICS THROUGH GRADUATE TEACHER TRAINING (PSECM-GTT) Supported by NSF DUE #1539602 Project Goal: (#2) To train GTAs to become more responsive, thoughtful and skilled undergraduate educators with a broad view of current innovations and issues in undergraduate mathematics education through an interconnected ladder of training, mentoring and teaching experiences.

PROMOTING SUCCESS IN EARLY COLLEGE MATHEMATICS THROUGH GRADUATE TEACHER TRAINING (PSECM-GTT) Redesigned weekly GTA Teaching Seminar Prompted a redesign of a half day Teacher Orientation offered by the department.

TEACHER ORIENTATION PRIOR TO FALL 2015 - AKA HOST 3.5 hour meeting with all new GTAs and faculty teaching for the first time with our department. Topics Included: Administrative Requirements Syllabi requirements Drops, withdraws, and incomplete processes Academic Integrity Tips and Tricks for Teaching (power point) Course Coordinator meetings

TEACHER ORIENTATION FALL 2015 - AKA EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING SYMPOSIUM 7 hour meeting with all GTAs and faculty teaching for the first time in the department however all faculty were invited. Morning Agenda CU-Denver Resource Offices visit Title IX Training Canvas Bootcamp Administrative Requirements (working lunch) Syllabi requirements Drops, withdraws, and incomplete processes
