Fungi Characteristics Cells- Multicellular…They have tissues and simple organs. They have cell walls but NO chlorophyll. DNA- In a nucleus… Eukaryote! Reproduce- Sexual and Asexual…some use spores (mixed traits) and some copy and divide (identical traits) Grow and Develop- some add cells to grow their hyphae and mycelium. Sense and Respond-Temperature and Moisture. Use Energy- CONSUMERS! Decomposers and parasites. They digest their food first…then absorb it!
